STOKED!: Big time!

Here comes a big one! Hold your board tight! Duck your head! Enjoy the waves man!

Nice! nice one sir! Tayo! Tayo na! (Stand up!) as the trainer instructed.

All were shouting out their lungs off out of excitement. It was as if there was a symphony of waves crushing & screaming of high notes while we are all in adrenaline rush mode.

Surfing: Not for the faint-hearted; recommend for the adrenaline junkies.

Waiver. If anything happens, we die happy.
For first timers, we had to be accompanied by experienced surfers. It's cool to be adventurous but safety first is more wicked! ;D

And so, Let ze adventure begin! (with my fake australian accent)

Ridin' the waves :)

Right on!
Day 1: Surfing - DONE!
(L-R) Casa, Her trainer, Ryan (my trainer), Kaycee)
And that's Surfing 101. The next day, though we were all covered with bruises and hematomas, still we jumped off our beds and headed straight to the beach and uhmm.. SURF once more! this time, without trainers, just ourselves :)

Baler: Land of virtuosity

“You're mind is working at its best when you're being paranoid.
You explore every avenue and possibility of your situation
at high speed with total clarity.”

Colors & hues. Shapes & sizes. Patterns & designs. I go crazy over these.

Last november 2012 was our Baler trip. I was all excited I could vomit & smile at the same time. Long stretch of beach, hot surfers & getting stoked was all dancing in my mind. Baler didn't fail my expectations, It actually put my amazement of the place into full scale.

Aside from the usual "must-dos" in baler which is to surf, what gotten my attention is that the whole place was inspired by art. from the alleys, to the stores, to the church and most especially the museum (obviously, It's a museum - for crying out loud).

Banksy inspired post at Baler, Aurora
Another Banksy inspired.
Remember BALER the movie? :)

Fortunate of us that there was an ongoing Photo poetry & Painting exhibit  during our visit
Magnificent, Isn't it?
Photo poetry exhibit by both professional & amateur photogs

Portraits of fortitude: Faces of valor

See? not just a surfer's destination, but a land of virtuosity. Places like this makes me sing glory to the Lord for he had given us all the riches this life can offer.

Well, see you again as I shout HALER BALER! again :)

Comfort in your strangeness: A love story

"We are nothing we are nothing we are nothing we are nothing but the dust on Your feet dying to be born again" ~Cynthia Alexander"

I have been listening to this song for almost half of my life, when I was in high school dad would play OPM songs on our cassette player, ones that are not knew by many. and this song is one of them.

I loved this song, I lived with this song. But I don't know the artist. I don't know what she looked like but I've been hypnotized by her voice. I don't know what the song is all about, but deep down, I could talk to every words in her lyrics. I don't know her name, but I can feel her soul.

Joined a lot of poster making contest, dancing clubs, sang on choirs, won 3rd place at science quiz bee, participated into table skirting class, learned the guitar, skateboarding at NAIA terminal 3 (that time the construction of the building is just starting), being peer pressured of having my ears and nose pierced, got into trouble, etc. etc. in short, I got very busy in high school that I forgot this song.

College. Triple the things I've said awhile ago then add this - I discovered a lot of things about me. I am consciousness. I am me. I am loved. I am being loved. I knew who I am.

I am yours.

& you are mine, Lord.

I now fully understand the love that the Lord is bestowing upon us, how we accept it, how we see it defies us. and we are all hungry of being with the Lord...

Since then, I ensured that where ever my feet would take me, I will call onto the Lord and sing glory and praises to him. The song played a huge part. This song became my theme song. Every word, now I understand; Every pluck of the guitar strings, now I feel. The strangeness made me smile, cry, feel, understand and love.

It's a secret: Bauan

"Oh my gulay! Batangas again? NO!!!" I screamed on my mind after announcing that our summer fun will be held at batangas.

Because of this, I wasn't that all interested and excited. and I've never really heard of BAUAN at batangas. I've been to nasugbu, laiya, lipa, talisay, tanauan, & the other municipalities of batangas that starts with "San", but bauan? I was like, wha? whe? really?

Until the day of the trip, I wasn't all that in to it. not until we finally arrived.

See what I mean? The place was just perfect for a get away. even more perfect with good friends along your side.

They even have billiards set! :) which made our stay even more perfect! hehe

The blending of the sea and the skies. perfect way to end the day :)

Much better than a breakfast in bed is a breakfast in front of the beach with good friends.
(L-R) Ram, Rence, Anne, Albert, Kaycee.

Look closely. It's ram serenading the sea with his violin :)

The night session.

The crew.

The secret get away place. not a secret anymore! but left me secretly falling in love with the serene calm waters of a secret paradise called bauan.

Yee! haa! Ride 'em cowboy!

Too fast. Too furious. Too dangerous. Too sexy.

Engines. Speedometer. Accelerator. Transmission.

Speechless, as in nga-nga. I adore race car drivers; especially drifters, particularly, RODEO DRIFTERS. I can watch them for hours, days even. just throw me a soda and pop me lot's of pop corns then I'm all set.

This year, February (2012) I was able to attend  an event where novice and pro drifters has showcased their exhilarating explicit talents. Obviously, the main event for me was the rodeo drifting.

While waiting anxiously, my eyes are busy spotting the legendary, my ultimate crush, Ian King.. but sadly, I failed. :( well, I say.. ON WITH THE SHOW!

Need I say more?
